Firstly, the results are here They had em' up before I even got home. An apology of sorts here for the incomplete report. We got the first LM feature in and the Trucks, then we got rained on. At that point my train was leaving and I had to be on it. We guessed the races wouldn't continue but it looks like we were mistaken.An excellent crowd on hand tonight and a pit, once again, really chocked full of race cars, as we had APC LM, Powerade Mod, Demar Trucks, and Transmission Direct Enduros as well. They needed a shoehorn to get everyone in there.In the APC late Model ranks we had a few special guests. In addition to the regular LM gang, we saw Drew Spicer back after a bit of an absence, Jason Shaw from Flamboro, Shawn McGlynn...there just for practice and a time trial, and the new/old number 79 LM driven by Dave Silverthorn Jr. (Word around the pits was that the 97 was the old HB Beal car.)Also in attendance tonight was Earl Ross. I'm gonna assume he needs no introduction here. Earl was here to address the drivers meeting as well as meeting and greeting up top to raise awareness of Parkinson's Disease. Parkinson Society Canada was running the 50/50 draw tonight, and they had a table of old trophies, a model of the original 13 car, and some scrapbooks of old news clippings etc.Heats-TrucksWhen we got to the racing, the Trucks were up first. First heat was taken by 55-Adriensen, with 8-Porter and 81-Hilborn rounding out the top 3.Second heat was won by 99-Koricina, 2nd to 75-Dupuis, 3rd to 88-Fothergill.Heats - ModifiedsHeat 1 was taken by 38-Hendricks, 2nd to 70-Saunders, 3rd to 57-Brooks. (This week, the 57 Modified was brought to you by the color blue.)Heat 2 taken by 24-Richmond (the kid's on fire I tell ya.) 2nd to 39-McCullough, 3rd to 1-NewmanAPC Late ModelAPC Late Model Time Trials saw Jon Urlin take the top spot with a time of 18.808 that was good enough for the pole.APC LM Feature 1Your polesitter is 4-Urlin with 52-Sheridan alongside. The two of them drag race for top spot for a couple of laps and its looking like Urlin is slightly faster. Disaster strikes early on lap 2 with 02-Watson going up in a plume of smoke around 3 and 4. He gets it pulled in but there's enough fluid to warrant a caution.After the restart, your lead pack is are Urlin, Sheridan and 38-Hooker. A few lengths back, the second pack is 20-Lindsay, 28-Robblee and 10-Kennedy. For a few laps this is where the race is. Kennedy's just throwing it in there trying to get around Robblee, but no go. Soon Robblee shoots past Lindsay and by lap 8 Robblee's reeling in the leaders.Robblee soon goes to work on Hooker and the two race side by side for a few laps until Hooker gets out of line and drops back a couple spots. At the crossed flags its Urlin, Sheridan, Robblee, Kennedy, Lindsay, Hooker, Verhoeven, Shaw and 37-Elliott.There's a mishap around lap 16 when 72-Thompson goes around on his own coming out of 2 to bring out the caution. No real damage there.The closing laps see Urlin build up a lead of a few car lengths, and the real race is for 2nd. Sheridan, Robblee and Kennedy (your 3 points leaders) are all running nose-tail. Robblee is pushing Sheridan hard, ducking high and low, but no dice.At the checkers its Urlin, Sheridan, Robblee Kennedy and Hooker. APC Late Model Feature 2I was not in attendance but congrats to Verhoeven on his first checkers this year. By my own rough calculation, I think the combination of 3rd and 2nd for Robblee vs 2nd and 5th for Sheridan puts Robblee out in front for the championship with only 2 features to go.Updated video added - perhaps best LM finish all yearLate Models August 21, 2009[/url]Top 5 1 77 Dion Verhoven Kerwood 2 28 Steve Robblee Dorchester 3 4 Jonathan Urlin London 4 20 Scott Lindsay St. Marys 5 52 Ron Sheridan Mt. Brydges Demar Aggregates Truck FeatureWell for starters the Truck feature tonight had to be the craziest one we've seen thus far, and with the most bizarre ending I've ever seen.At the green flag, your polesitter is 9-Thompson with 55-Adriensen alongside, followed by 81-Hillborn and 4-Thompson. 9-Thompson takes the early lead with Adriensen and Hillborn right on his bumper. Back in the pack, everyone's already into each other, with 56-Showler getting almost sideways on the backstretch after contact with 82-Demelo. (I heard here I think that Rijnen was in the 82 for tonight, but the announcers were calling it as Demelo.)Adreinsen makes the pass for 1st and is soon followed by 75-Dupuis.Now with the top 2 pulling ahead, the main part of the pack is racing like a pack of wild dogs going after a pork chop - 3 wide, with lots of beating and banging all the way through the field. In the fray was 77-Zagarodny, 88-Fothergill, 7-Clark, 8-Porter, 01-Bloemendal, 99-Koricina and Showler all fighting to get free while the top 3 pull away. At the halfway marker, caution flies when Bloemendal gets a little too frisky and turns Kori...

holy..there were a few really hard hits in there.....and that was mild compared to TC's at AC last year....but damn...for a weekly crash that cld really hurt..i think i see three trucks with hard enough contact they could be toast.

Well one's written off for sure, from what's been said here. (the white 16) We also know that the 01 and the 33 took some extensive damage, but will likely be back. The 55 truck that was in 2nd hit pretty hard (you can see him running 2nd on the lap previous. He was actually the first guy into the fence.) Others like the black 7 that comes in and hits Devon, and the black 81 who comes in behind right at the end - these guys have all reported in on this thread.

I understand there were some stiff and sore bodies the next day...hope everyone got better.

Once again , after seeing that vid I'm glad I was in the pit with a flat !!! At least we still have something to work with and I feel for the guy's in that wreck , It's a lot of work (and money) to come back from that !!! Hope to see ALL of you friday !!! :-*

UPDATE: #16 truck team has purchased a replacement truck, and we are hoping to have it ready to race on Labour Day weekend!!

That's great Kathleen! It will be great to see you back on the track!!!! I would love to see you in Richmond Row but would rather see you driving your truck.
