I figure run the crate for as long as its usable... then replace it. I have heard of guys getting four seasons out of them, without too much trouble. Rebuilding it seems to be a big pain in the asterisk. Kijiji it, and some Enduro guys will probably buy it. You may not get much, but for under 4K, you have the pleasure of knowing it's new.

my old one went 7 seasons. might go 8, not sure what his plan is, it's had 1 set of valve springs, pulls as hard or harder than anything else out there.
Don't you hate that when a guy's car handles so good down the straights he blows right by you 😉
The other nice thing about crates is you don't have to worry about it as much as a built. Which means more set up time. Crates are great and if I was runing I would have one in mine

The crate has proven reliable to many. Set ups can change day to day track conditions as well. The driver that relates to this and his crew can make the big difference and usually does.
