The time has finally arrived: a season of action and excitement at Delaware Speedway will come to an end this Friday & Saturday with Championship Weekend (Sept 21-22)!

==Friday Night:==

Local divisions will be wrapping up their titles this Friday.  Coca-Cola Super Stocks, Demar Aggregates Trucks, and FT Garage Late Models make up the racing card.  The event is sponsored by McColl Racing Enterprises.

Racing will start at 8:00 pm on Friday night.  Mark Watson (#3) of St. Thomas enters the evening with a 37-point lead in the FT Garage Late Models, and Gary Adriaensen (#55) of Belmont is chasing his first-ever championship with a 56-point lead.  The strongest competition will be in the Coca-Cola Super Stocks where Steve Smith (#84) of Arkona will attempt to hold off Jeff Showler (#44) of Mt. Elgin.  Smith currently enjoys a moderately comfortable 15-point margin, but leading into an unpredictable championship night Smith will have to be extra guarded heading into the final race.

==Saturday Afternoon:==

2:00 pm is when the action kicks off on Saturday with the GAW Recycling Enduro and Bone Stock Chaos Cars.  The event is sponsored by South End Truck Centre of Parkhill.

The Unstoppable McCullough Brothers (David and Derek) have been on an unprecedented winning streak this season in the GAW Recycling Enduro.  Between the two of them, the drivers have taken home every single GAW Recycling Enduro event all season: but the party ends this Saturday.  Both brothers now find themselves locked in a sibling rivalry for the championship, separated by only thirteen points.  Can the McCullough brothers continue to be unstoppable if they are fighting for the championship?  With Steve Lovie (#141) of Dutton just twenty-three points back the brothers will need to keep focused on the prize or risk losing it to another challenger!

In the Bone Stock Chaos Cars Jordan Morris (#73) leads the way with two events remaining on the schedule, with the Bone Stocks running their championship event on October 13 at the Pumpkin Smasher.  In this semi-final race, Delaware’s wildest division will hit the track once again chasing the checkered flag in their completely stock cars.

==Other Notes:==

- Family value passes are available on both days.  The family value passes allow two adults and up to four children age 16 and under into the event for $32 taxes included, or one adult and up to two children age 16 and under into the event for just $16 (taxes included).

- Toonie Hotdogs will be available on Friday night from 6pm-7pm.

- Camping is free of charge behind the back straight for championship weekend.

==One more event after the championships…==

While the Delaware Speedway chase for the championship ends this weekend, the action doesn’t stop until October!  Saturday, October 13 is the second annual Pumpkin Smasher featuring a demolition derby and action from the Bone Stock Chaos Cars.  The afternoon will also feature the Open-Ontario Four-Cylinders and a non-points invitational GAW Recycling Enduro event.
