The MSD box and rev limiter idea would cost the racers $30,000( $500 a car x 60 cars). The track could almost hire a full time enduro tech person for what it would cost the racers.  I think they need to get back to the root of the problem and start teching the cars better and catch the illegal suspension and engine pieces that are already illegal in the rule book instead of creating new rules

How about this? Since it is soooo hard to detect interior engine modifications. Why not this?  No suspension changes that's right no suspension alterations. That includes adjusting camber or stager, last time i went to a car lot none of the cars came stcok with camber. No camber less speed in the corners. This brings us back to the better driver can win. one more thing, any other rules that are broken by a team no matter how small, will result in all prize monies being taken back. OUCH. Hit em where it hurts and they will start to play right, that's for shure. PS the only reason we have rules is because some people cheat.

Can you put a rev limiter on a chevy HEI distributor? I don't think you can but I might be wrong. If you cannot your left buying a ignition box, coil, rev limiter, distributor and a wiring harness.  I think a $500 hit would kill alot of enduro teams, also how would you apply the same rule to EFI cars that run the 4 and 6 cyls?

you can run a rev limiter with the hei im almost certain that all the competors in the street stock and trucks run them with limiters. and limiters aren't the way to go. what they need is a caster chamber cauge in tech and every time you go through they check. no more than 2-3 deg and 4- in of caster but that is just my opinion
