Are you going to allow 4fun type cages in these cars?
Varney is also running a "bone stock" type enduro it would be nice if the rules were at least close enough that someone could run in both. I am considering building acouple of cars for the Varnery show if the rules are close I might make the very long tow to delleware for this race

I just looked at the Stock 4 rules. I don't see any big problem. I know the track is more then willing to work with any competitors.

I've already been contacted by some Peterborough 4-Fun drivers.  They're in.  Some of the 4-fun classes basically have cage optional or minimum cages.  Because Delaware is a larger track, we do require some additional bars.  As FromTheStands indicated, the updates wouldn't take much and will improve safety for that driver in all events.

I've been told some of the 4-fun-type cars are running hoops to improve the strength of the cars a bit.  This is not a problem, as the Bone Stocks have bumper bars they are allowed to run for the same purpose.  This seems to be a fair trade.

As long as the car is:
a) Bone Stock without upgrades running stock setup for the road.
b) Is safe to compete with proper safety equipment.

Then there is no problem.

The cage doesn't have to look precisely like the one in the book, but does need to offer the driver sufficient protection for competition on a 1/2-mile rated track.  Even though the speeds are being kept down like the old 90’s era enduro with parked cars on the track, minimum levels of safety are still important as there will be quite a bit of open race track - - and with that open race track will come speed.  We can work with drivers to get them safely on the track.

Lots of e-mail inquiries on this event today.  In invite representatives from various 4-fun classes to get in touch and we can talk about your cars to get the ball rolling.  I can even prepare a flyer for each track with info tailored to each class.

Again, in most cases it appears to be a difference of just a handful of bars to have the car 1/2-mile ready, bars which not only will get the cars on the big track, but will also improve safety at their home tracks.
