I took a few days, to mill over what I was going to post with this thread. It is important for people to see the big picture, in order to understand what the track is doing. There was a few disgruntled people at the B/Stock meeting, and they need to better understand the changes.
Bone Stock means that exactly, which went towards the rule solidification. The tire rule was imposed, to keep expensive racing street tires out. People have shown up with them, and they do give advantages. The class is made to be budget minded, and have some fun. There were guys tampering with computers, springs, camber, and among other things all season. Darryl's job is to keep this class in check. If you're cheating, you won't like him. Seriously, if you want to race hard, move up to Enduro.
Enduro is changing, and is going to be good again. Right now, it will have some feathers ruffled. The removal of crate engines, was done for a few reasons. One, truck class (no secret) has had a hard time getting a full field. They are working on that, and hopefully it gets back on track. That means the track needs another class for Friday nights. So V8 Stocks were born, most guys seem to do well with it. It has a few people upset, but in time hopefully they can understand... it was needed.
So now, four cylinder guys (mini stock) who want to build race trimmed cars, have a place to run. So the guys from Bone Stock that want to fiddle... can. This is a positive, and really.. if you're complaining about being caught, or having to move your car out of B/Stock. You then have missed the point of that class. Bone Stock, is for beginners, and junk cars. If you have spent more than 300 on the chassis (buying a junker)... you didn't shop hard enough. Once you have the cage, safety gear, you can easily swap it to another. Complaining about cost in this series, is silliness.
