i just went and picked my self up a 350 2 days ago that im gonna rebuild this winter . by any means im not complaining about how delaware run's theses "stock" cars. if i have to do it to compete i mise well be like every one else bc y watse my money just to go out and get laped its just not gonna be that fun.
Stock GM means exactly that, but with some rules being ""Bent"". It is no secret, that these cars are usually cammed, flat topped, so on. These are easily argued out with GM part numbers. Corvette pistons, Camaro camshafts, 441 heads 041's I could go on. Research your parts before you complain, everyone does it, why aren't you.
I wasn't complaining about these cars, if you think this thread was. I was merely stating what I need to do to be competitve. You are right, these cars are spectacular to watch, and race against. It just means we need to work harder.
I will not say my older chassis' didn't have alot of the above mentioned mods 😉
see i thought stock ment stock to that make and model not corvette parts in a camero or monte carlo. and i wasnt complaing about the competion i just didnt seem to understand some of these things like sure its a GM part but it should stay in that gm model it came with. the options that came in the car you have should be the same options that your running in your car to race.
So dougy are you saying you can run any gm part in any gm car if its a stock part
thanks steven
do the rules say stock?
or stock for make model and year?
This is where rules can be interpreted differently...
Thanks guys i under stand now
