Mobil 1 you are saying reply #37.You are forKOH drivers and not the regular show drivers. By the way I am using the $1000.00 & $2000.00 purse as what the sponsor has offered this year. You donot want to understand that the TRACK WINS & REGULAR DRIVERS WIN and KOH drivers happy they can race.and o yes throwing $1000.00 - $2000.00 into the division purse that night is a big thing as your regular drivers for that division get extra $
which makes them happy.Your logic that a sponsor is going to say good bye.If they (Sponsor ) are serious about racing about it they will listen & work with the track
P.S. By the way you did not mention that KOH got no $ before-True ,Track got large crowds-Yes, Large Fields -Yes
the more you post, the more uneducated you sound, we should all be happy that these sponsors want to put the money into ANYTHING hitting the track, the crowds are far superior now that they are putting up good $$$ for king of the hill. I have talked to many fans that have come to the track for their first time because they heard about the big king of the hills. It seems like you are the only one that has a gripe with it, I know a lot of drivers don't, haven't heard of any that do, but i'm not saying that there arent some out there. Fact of the matter is, anytime you can put more butts in the seats its good for every racer at the track, makes selling sponsorship MUCH easier (still not easy, but easier) and sponsorship is where the money to operate the cars come from. $50 more in pay-out doesn't mean squat if you compared to having more people in the stands making sponsors want to get involved.
It sounds like a few people (or person ) are totaly missing something. The 1000 (or 2000) or whatever, goes to the winner. Which is unlike all the reg divisions at the track. 2nd place on down receive no money.
Compare this to what, say Peterbuilt puts up. The purse is spit up throughout the field. How much would each KOTH driver get if they were to split up the money.
You just can't compare the KOTH format with the regular racing It's shapes vs colours.
Quit trying to make a comparison and stirring up crap.
I like the KOTH as a spectator, I like the crowds as a pit monkey and I give a lot of thanks to Throne Kings, APC / CANUSA, Huron Produce & Ron O’Brien Remax and all and any other sponsors for stepping up to help give some enthusiasts a proper place to use their right foot.
Anyway, what does all this have to do with the APC 300?
I dont know about anyone else, but i am super excited about this race this weekend. Aside from the dual between 10 and 77, the $10,000 to win shoot out looks just as exciting. I cant even pick a winner. Its anyones race to win.
What makes this race different from last is the additional 50 laps. Tire management is going to be key. The half time break is going to let us see different strategies. In the PartSource 140, we saw some teams elect to take 2 rear tires instead of 2 rights. I don't even think Lindsay took tires at all.
I cant wait!
My My. I leave you guys alone for three days....
😉
Tonight on Race Time Radio Jason Hathaway of Appin Ontario driver inthe NCTS series said that himself & possibly JR Fitzpatrick will be back at Delaware Friday night for the Sport Stock double feature as for the APC 300 he didnot say he could make it as they are busy this weekend. He plans to also race in the OSS Race Saturday at Cayuga and as well as the NCTS race also at Cayuga Saturday Night. There is a possiblty he could race Sunday but by thre sounds it would be a long shot.
