would s10 spindles work also? are they big bearing?
s10 spindles are the same as metrics aren't they? We put the camaro spindles on because of the height difference and the bigger brakes (and we usually have piles of them laying around lol).
ok that is what i was wondering as i was told s10's were the same as camaros...thanks for clearing that up.
hey jamie, i heard the later impala/caprice spindles are decent too. the newer ones having larger outer bearings than their '77 and prior counterparts.
..that depends...
There were a lot of special Caprice (Classic) versions of spindles and bearings and it depends on what your defining as new and old variants...
Check out http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php for all the different types.
Police Specials, Engine, etc, determine what bearing sizes go with what spindle...
The ones I've shown here as examples are all Caprice Classic's with SBC 350 / 5.7L

Believe it or not, there are manufactures still making this stuff new. As I understand it, Astro and most Caprice Classic Spindles are based on a "GM 2" design with 8 1/2" height.
Mine are the br3 and br6 and ya about 8 1/2 inches tall
