get back to the original question---who all is runnin the new body
if you go back to the meeting wasn't there 20 drivers that were
going to switch?

I would imagine you'll see a few. I think its more likely that you'll see them come in as cars get damaged.

If I have a perfectly pristine Camaro or Nova body, I don't really need to switch right now. (unless there are other incentives.) If I pile mine into the wall, buying might be the better option then tracking down, or hammering out.

However, I don't think it will take long for nearly the whole field to switch. You'll see a year of "half and half" likely.

Back in the 70s when they switched the old coupes over to compact bodies, they offered an incentive of an extra 100 dollars to a feature winner that was sporting the new style body. If the track WANTS everyone to have the new style, they might look at something along those lines. I really don't know how invested the track itself is on having "next gen" bodies on all the cars though. I think theyre just looking at them as an alternative to the well documented problem of tracking down 30 year old stock body panels.

Just trying to make some interesting discussion :p Any of the Super Stock teams switching to the new bodies, or a new body at all? New paint schemes? Basically is anyone doing anything new and exciting? Any other series drivers feel free to give us a sneak peak too 😉

We are on the original subject, just not the superstock bodies. I've heard to one driver who ordered a body.

just to clarify on the pretty engine thing, i took the whole engine apart anyhow.  i hate putting rusty old oily stuff back together.  the only real thing i splurged on was the valve covers but they're allstars so they didn't cost too much.

dougy, astro spindles?  that wouldn't be stock, now would it?  i've got no clue when it comes to suspension so we're just gonna slap in the rebuilt motor and go racin.  hehehe  😉

Astro spindles wouldn't be the best choice, then he'd have 5x5 on the front and 5x4.75 bolt pattern on the back, camaro or nova spindles, the later big bearing ones  😉
