Ok I'll buy that. Its actually too bad...I snapped pics of all those sprints at the show, but none of them turned out. (Still learning the ropes with digital cameras)
The Bob McDonald one was right beside the Racing Against Drugs simulator where I spoke to the Richmonds.
That would make you an old timer for me I wasn't even old enough to go to school then. However the Jimmy Brown driving stories will remain forever.

Well, if you've got time, why not regale us with one?
I honestly don't know much about Jimmy or any of the other guys driving supers back then. Remember that after 72 or so, the Supers were pretty much a once-or-twice per season occurrence. I mean, I know who the guys were, but not much about them.
BTW, the phot above was taken the night Warren Coniam broke the Delaware track record. If I recall, it was low 16 seconds, and I'm pretty sure his record still holds as the all time fastest lap at Delaware.
Didn't Randy Sweet go faster than that in his LM?
All I can say is I don't think thats the case. The record may have been broken recently, but Warren's fast lap lasted as the record for a long time. I'm pretty sure it hasn't been beat yet.
Don't quote me on anything though.
