Well, what a beautiful day to hang around at Delaware on practice day. I officially have my first sunburn of 07! You couldn't have asked for better weather.
The pits were pretty full today. Lots of cars from all of Delaware's divisions, plus a few cars being shaken down for other tracks and series. I'm now pretty stoked about the upcoming season!
Just to save bandwidth, I've only included links....mainly pics of the newer cars that some folks might be curious about. (Lots of guys with the same ride as last year...we know what they look like already) If anyone wants larger pics, let me know and I'll see what I can do to get them for you.
Duane Manning. Had some motor breakage last week during practice, but according to Duane, everything seems OK now. The car has the new black, red and silver livery...and it looks pretty sweet. Best of luck to BT Racing for the year.
Steve Robblee was in attendance today shaking down the 2 car. I spoke briefly with a crew member there and they said they won't be running a Friday night program this year. Son Matt was there once again in the black 27 sportsman.
The prodigal son returns. Check out Dion Verhoeven's new ride, both in the pits, and running laps with Ron Sheridan. That 77 car looked smooth.
Here's Dan Bugg and Scott Nagy doing hot laps. That 71 car is bright, and one of the nicest looking cars out there this year.
Chad Rijnen in his brand new Street Stock. The car looked like it was hooked up pretty well.
Another prodigal son returns. At long last, Rob Clarke unveiled his new Late Model. Bank on him being a contender right off the hop this year.
Simon Wild and Matt Box at speed. Spoke to Simon, and he's looking forward to running the whole season at Delaware.
Here's a whack of enduro cars.
Dan Bugg and DJ Dejesus parked between sessions.
Dan Monaghan unveiled the new orange Camaro SS.
And Paul Shipway is sporting new colors too. Verry Nice!
Varney invader Davey Hassel. He had his new LM out too, but the pic didn't turn out. Those two cars aren't meant for Delaware, according to Dave. Groovy looking mod!
And of course...the day couldn't go perfect for everyone. A busted ball joint ended one round of hot laps early for the 3 team. Luckily, Andrew kept it off the wall to avoid more damage, and they got the car fixed for last practice. But here's Andrew taking the long ride home.
Actually this is a bit of a rib. The Perkins gang were once again gracious enough to put up with me hanging around their trailer and asking dumb questions. (they're very patient) Thanks guys, it was fun.
This is a partial list of people who were there today.

Scott Lindsay, Pearn, Sheridan, Doerr, Urlin, Forth, Todd Powell, (in the 76... Hathaway's old car) Tyler Brown, Wild, Box, Clarke, and someone driving Kennedy's car from last year. (I didn't find out what the story was, but I didn't see Jesse there.)

Thanks for the update. I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that Steve Robblee was in the HB Beal car, but I'm sure someone will confirm or deny that soon enough. Also, was Dion Verhoven in a Dodge or did they re-body the car to a Pontiac or Chevrolet?
Its Dodge.
S. R. was not nor will he ever be in the Beal car.
THANKS for the Report and Photos Shadowracer.
