2slow4u: That rim rule has been in the rulebooks for years, but most of us run steel racing rims all the way around anyways. I know I do. Your point is a valid one; why would they make us run old crap rims when new ones are safer. We'll have to see how things go down on the practice days.

Okay things I noticed that have not been mentioned yet.
SS class:
1. No added weight penalty for the fibreglass body

Yup - section 35 - 50 lbs

I'm suprised there's not alot of chat about the 5" ground clearance.

Last time when the tolerance was suggested down to 3 1/2' as a go/no go, there was lots of chatter. Now raising the car 1" ?? Thought there'd be concern.

The rim rule for Enduro has been there since the first coming. The statement made last year was DoT approved rims, and a safety rim RFront was an option. I am positive this hasn't changed, and if this HAS changed.... it had best be updated. Even the Tech guys can see this is a simple rule, and/or unwritten with the DoTs. No one wants to see rims flying over the fence, like it has many times before. One fan took one on the arm, and lost his ice cream. He was very upset his ice cream fell down(seriously I spoke to him and those were exact words), and the track is lucky nothing came of it. He was not hurt, and the track is lucky for that.

If they are going to a ruling back to strict DoT's my children and girlfriend will not be in the stands.

There probably is concern, i'm thinking there are many, many concerns with the crappy rule book and bad schedule, they just aren't being posted on the forum.

Unless you call Ron or someone else in tech they won't know anyone's concerns. Instead of compaining on here, call them. I have had my issues and voiced them to the track and have got amswers back on just about everything so far and should have any other concerns adressed shortly. I may not like all the answers I am getting but at least I am getting answers. Just call the appropriate people.
