Jim, Jamie is right. Flex-a-lite nylon fans are the way to go. Weigh only 11oz, rated for 8000rpm, and cost about $30. They are soft enough that if the fan does contact the rad, the fan takes the damage, not the rad. I ran the same rad for all 4...well 3 1/2 years in the truck. Ive ran them since my enduro days, and have NEVER had a car overheat. Not even close to overheating in 7 seasons of using those fans.

Well our overheat misseries were at Flamboro and Varney, you can't get enough speed to keep the air flowing when you are bumper to bumper. It's all a matter of preference I guess..Some guys want electric fans, some guys want revalvable shocks, some guys want 4" ride heights. I'm for anything that's makes the car safer, more reliable and lastly quicker. As somebody pointed out is all monke see monkey do!!! We were the STOCK team out there LOL Stock alternator, stock power steering stock steel brackets, long nose pumps. I'm not looking for an edge just simplicity. You make me beleive a nylon flex fan wont cut an aluminum rad 🙂 but hey I'm a skeptic. And Jamie thanks for the input I have an idea 8)
