I was told after the race that the spotter of the 10x was told to get it down pit road and the tire changed or the body pulled off it atleast because it was going to blow. This was felt to be justice for the no black for dumping the 5. The 5 had already taken it to pit road to have the rear bumper removed after the original contact with the 10x in turn one thus sending him to the rear, again perceived as justice for the no black after the contact under the yellow.
This is the story as I've gotten it too.
I also have it on fairly good authority that the rumors of Gord not coming back are greatly exaggerated. So the Truthsayer might not have his story straight. According to Delaware officials: they have been in contact with Gord, and it looks like he might be out a week or two...but will likely be returning, and is not nearly as unhappy with Delaware as is being let on.
Also want to point out that it looks like whatever damage that sent Gord into the fence on the restart was NOT caused by the 5 car whacking him on the caution.
Ya I dont think Gord is as unhappy with Delaware as were led to believe either.. He has told me theres 3 or 4 meatheads in the field that are all over the track but thats about all I've really heard.. And what track doesnt have that?? I dont think they plan on racing the 200 so I'm doubting he'll be back at Delaware this season myself..I'm just hoping he's racing the McColl series this coming Friday at Barrie.. That race is sounding like it needs all the cars it can get.. and Gord is one of the best at getting around the Barrie bull ring..

I hope you are right but I doubt they'll be back, at least this year. Let's just wait and see if he shows up. I can't talk for him of course so couldn't say he's mad at Delaware as such but it's a done deal that he's pissed about the shenanigans that go on there, who wouldn't be ?

I was spotting for the 5, the 10x over drove the entry of one, made contact with the LR quarter of the 5 sending it spinning. This is not being disputed by Gord himself.
The 10x is going back to Port City for a clip I have been told and will be back in a couple weeks.
