The Go Nuclear Late Model Series to visit Cornwall Motor Speedway this Sunday!

Cornwall, Ont – Thursday, June 5, 2014 – Martin Bélanger – The Cornwall Motor Speedway will host a new series this Sunday as the Go Nuclear Late Model Series will make their inaugural visit to the speedway along with a full show of Modified, Pro-Stock, Semi-Pro and Mini-Stock. Fans will be able to show support to their favourite drivers as a Banner competition will be held at intermission time.

The up and coming Go Nuclear Late Model Series will make a first stop at Cornwall Motor Speedway this Sunday with a 35-lap event. Drivers from Ontario and Northern New-York will make the haul to the quarter mile bullring as we are expecting a great field of cars for this initial event. Several drivers have previous experience at Cornwall with the World of Outlaws or the Ontario DIRT Late Model Series. The Go Nuclear is sporting crate engines but will still be very fast around the speedway and will give a very spectacular show!

With already 3 shows in, the Jiffy Auto Services Modified division championship hunt is well underway with last week`s winner Stephane Lafrance taking command over Gage Morin, Chris Raabe, Chris Herbison and Brian McDonald. Only 28 points separates the top 8 drivers. A 30-lap feature is on the card of the headline class.

Defending track champion Dave Bissonnette is already in good position to defend his Alexandria Home Hardware Pro-Stock championship having an 8-point lead on Jocelyn Roy. This very competitive category will have 20-lap feature event.

Both Semi-Pro and Mini-Stock feature races will be run before intermission time on Sunday, hopefully this will attract a few extra drivers in the always entertaining Luminacorr Semi-Pro division as they run 15 laps and Mini-Stock with twelve.

General admission price will be 15$ for adults, 8$ for Seniors 65 years and over, kids under 16 admission is only 2$. Pits admission will be 25$, pit entrance will be open at 2pm for hauler parking; the gates for payment will open at 4pm. General admission gates will open at 5:30pm with racing starting at 7pm sharp!
