The Cornwall Motor Speedway received the 2015 DIRTcar Promoter of the Year!

Cornwall, Ont – Sunday, November 22nd, 2015 – Martin Bélanger – World Racing Group and DIRTcar Northeast celebrated their 2015 season champions in the Syracuse, NY area and the Cornwall Motor Speedway was honored with the coveted promoter of the year trophy.

With two years under their belt, the Lavergne Family invested money and time to improve the facility and infrastructure as well as adding some new series in 2015 and also some events that were never presented at the track. All these actions were recognize by World Racing Group and all their peers under the DIRTcar Northeast banner as the coveted award of promoter of the year was presented on Saturday evening to general manager Claudette Lavergne during the banquet.

The biggest investment and change is currently ongoing with the construction of the new stands, the surface was prepared and the cement base is currently being prepared. The great weather during this Fall enables great progress to the project. The final steps will be done during Winter and Spring 2016.

The 2016 calendar is currently under construction with Opening Night scheduled for Sunday, May 22nd, 2016 with the visit of the Super DIRTcar Big-Block Series, other confirmed dates are September 4th with a DIRTcar doubleheader with the 358-Modified Series and Sportsman Series. The DIRTcar Pro-Stock Series will be held on July 31st. Most of the local series will be back, dates are still to be confirmed with some exciting additions to be done.
