The Bandit Motorsports Sportsman Challenge, great addition for 2015 at Cornwall Motor Speedway!

Cornwall, Ont –Saturday, February 28, 2015 – Martin Bélanger – The Sportsman category will again be very busy in 2015 at Cornwall Motor Speedway with the addition of a new local series for the class that attracts the most competitors at the speedway.

The Bandit Motorsports Sportsman Challenge will join a full schedule with 3 events including two 100-lap feature events and on the final night of the series, two features of 50 laps each will be run. The first race will be run on Saturday, May 2nd during the first edition of the Spring Sizzler. On Canada Day, the Sportsman will be the headliner on Wednesday, July 1st with the final event being run on Sunday, August 9th.

The purse will be pretty interesting with nearly $10,000 in purse offered on each night. Each race winner will receive a nice $2,000 during the 100-lap event and an amount of $1,000 during each 50-lap feature race.

The points fund sponsored by Bandit Motorsports and the speedway will reach over $3,000 in money and contingencies with the series champion receiving $1,000, second place will get $750, third $500 with fourth and fifth receiving a 2016 season pass.

This series is a great addition for this summer and with extended race format, great purse and interesting point’s fund, the field of Sportsman coming from Ontario, Quebec and Northern United States should be really strong.
