Super Serie Starter 50-lap Modified feature event this Sunday at Cornwall Motor Speedway!
Cornwall, Ont – Thursday, August 13, 2015 – Martin Bélanger – The Cornwall Motor Speedway will present his last Super Series Starter event in the Modified with a 50-lap race along with a complete race program as the Semi-Pro and Mini-Stock, will have their Dash for Cash at intermission time. Jim’s Performance Plus will be the night sponsor.
Offering points towards the DIRTcar 358-Modified Series, the last event of the Super Series Starter event will be a 50-lap race also providing a guaranteed spot for the 358-Modified Salute to the Troops 150 during Super DIRT Week 44 presented at Syracuse to the winner of this feature race.
With a 122-point lead on second spot, Carey Terrance must only finish the last events to secure a second Bandit Motorsports Modified championship in a row. The positions for the rest of the top 5 in the point’s title are still up for grabs as 44 points separates Lee Ladouceur, Stephane Lafrance, Kyle Dingwall, Brian McDonald and Gabriel Richer.
Corey Wheeler is also in a great spot to win a second title in a row in the Wheeler-Forget Royal Lepage Sportsman, Wheeler has a 50-point lead over Justin Lalancette, who represents a nice surprise in second. A battle to finish in third with Jessica Power having a 1-point lead over Louie Jackson with Joey Ladouceur rounding out the top 5. A 25-lap event is on the schedule for them.
In the Alexandria Home Hardware Pro-Stock, Dave Bissonnette is looking to collect a fourth title in a row in this competitive division. The veteran holds a 22-point lead over George Renaud as Ghislain Valade, Jocelyn Roy and C.D Beauchaup currently completes the top 5, Stephane Lebrun is at the doorstep with 2 points behind Beauchamp. The Pro-Stock are running a 20-lap affair.
Nothing is settled in the Polar Sound DJ Services Semi-Pro division with 3 drivers involved in the the championship run with only 6 points separating, Derek Cryderman, Adam Delormier and Pascal Racette with only 2 events to go, a 15-lap feature is on tap along with the 6-lap Dash for Cash that includes Racette, Cryderman, Junior Delormier, Adam Delormier, Mathieu Aubin and Richard Brady.
J-F Page will want to improve his lead in the Polar Sound DJ Services Mini-Stock championship. Page will also start on the pole in the 6-lap dash that will also include Marc Dagenais, Dudes Thompson, Alexis Charbonneau, Justin Desrosiers and Riley McMonagle
Admission costs will be 15$ for adults in general admission, 8$ for seniors and only 2$ for kids 16 years and under. Pit entry costs will be 25$. The gates will open at 3:00pm to allow hauler parking and general admission gates will open at 5:30pm with the first qualifying race at 7pm as time trials for Modified will start at 6:40pm.
