More than 265 cars for the Fireball Enduro on Sunday at Cornwall Motor Speedway!

Cornwall, Ont – Sunday, September 7, 2014 – Martin Bélanger – The Cornwall Motor Speedway had their annual Fireball Enduro, the ‘’WWE of racing!’’ Over 265 cars were in the pits to participate in the different events involving 4, 6 and 8-cylinder type of cars presented by LKQ Headline Auto.

The afternoon started with the 50-lap ladies event, Barbara Franc was the fastest out of the 29-car starting grid.  Franc battled hard to win this race.

The men`s 6-cylinders then took the track with 61 cars taking the initial green for 50 laps of mayhem. A few red flags slowed the feature race as less than 15 cars were able to complete the race, Shawn Ray from Cornwall picked up the win.

The first of two 50-lap 4-cylinder feature was next as 65 drivers took the initial green, only 10 cars were able to finish the race as Karl L’écuyer won the feature race.

The new Mini-Van division was next on track as 14 vehicules took the initial green in the 25-lap event. Mini-Stock regular Riley McGonagle won the event.

A field of 47 cars took green in the 50-lap 8-cylinder feature race. Veteran racer Bob Ray was declared the winner.

The sixth and final feature of the day saw 50 cars took the green in the second 4-cylinders race. Andrew Wilson won the final event with only 7 cars being able to complete the event.

This event completes the 2014 season at Cornwall Motor Speedway; we would like to thank all our fans, race teams and our sponsors for all their support throughout the year.
