Bandit Motorsports Canadian Nationals Modified Series highlights this Sunday evenings program at Cornwall Motor Speedway!
Cornwall, Ont –Thursday, May 19, 2016 – Martin Bélanger – The Cornwall Motor Speedway will present the first race of the Bandit Motorsports Canadian Nationals for the Modifieds division with a 125-lap event along with a complete race program presented by Mike Sauvé Construction.
The 7th edition of the Bandit Motorsports Canadian Nationals will start this Sunday with the first of three events of 125 laps each. Again a lot of interest amongst drivers with some of the best drivers in the 358-Modified ranks will Cornwall home this coming Sunday. Defending series champion, Danny Johnson will lead a group of invaders that will include Erick Rudolph, Steve Bernard, Danny O’Brien, Yan Bussière, Dominic Dufault and several others. Local drivers will defend their home turf with a group led by Carey Terrance, Mario Clair, Chris Raabe, Brian McDonald, Tim O’Brien, Kyle Dingwall, Bobby Herrington and company. Again a quality field over quantity for this 125-lap affair that will completed without a pit stop break. This small addition will only be done the final night schedule on September 4th.
After the big 100-lap event last Sunday, the Tracy Wheeler Storm Realty Sportsman will have a regular program, Shane Pecore will want to repeat his win from last week but will have competition from Justin Lalancette, Ryan Stabler, Thomas Cook and several others that are looking for a first win in 2016.
The Alexandria Home Hardware Pro-Stock division provided great racing last week as several drivers were in the hunt to get the first feature of the season, Roch Aubin came out first. Will Aubin be able to do it again this week?
The Polar Sound DJ Services Novice Sportsman and Mini-Stock will also be on the racing card with regular events.
The pit gates will open at 3pm and costs will be 40$ in the pit area. General admission will open its doors at 4pm and costs will be $30 for adults, 15$ for seniors and only 2$ for 16 years old and younger. Time trials are schedule for 6:30pm and first heat will be run at 7pm sharp.
