KIDS TO GET EXCITED ABOUT "BACK TO SCHOOL"

August 8, 2013 - Its seems a little crazy to suggest it but CFS Owner and Promoter Tim Wile says he’s pretty sure that this weekend’s "D.R. Scrap Metals MONSTER Nationals" to be held at Shediac’s CENTRE for Speed in Barachois will help get a lot of school age kids excited about going "Back to School". The outdoor Monster Truck Racing event will feature several trucks including one GIANT school bus themed, car crushing rig, known as "Higher Education." "This years show was moved from September to August 9th and 10th and we thought what better truck to have than a Giant School Bus as kids get ready to go back to school.", said Wile. The truck whose official name is "Higher Education" has been dubbed "The COOL Bus" by Wile because, he says, "It IS Cool. Kids loved this truck when he first performed here at the MONSTER Nationals in 2011. Its a car crushing, high flying School Bus, how could they not love it. I’m sure many of them, especially the younger ones, imagine riding to school in it!"

Wile says the truck is popular with more than Kids too as is evidenced by the nearly 2 Million views a video shot of its performance in 2011 has received on YouTube. The most popular video ever shot at the Speedway. "I knew the truck was popular but I was shocked when I looked at the video last week and saw how many views it had received", said Wile.  The D.R. Scrap MONSTER Nationals runs Friday and Saturday nights starting at 7 PM and features Monster Trucks in a variety of performances, A JET Quad performance and is accompanied by Burnouts on Friday Night and Demolition Events on Saturday. A VIP Pit Party begins at 6 each night including autographs and up close photos of the trucks and drivers.

The shows are "Rain or Shine" however, in the event of EXTREME weather such as risk of Thunder and Lightning, spectators are asked to please check the speedways recording at 506 388-2415 as to the event status. Advance ticket savings are available at Ayer Convenience in Moncton and Belliveau’s Shell in Shediac. Tickets, in advance are $20 for Adults and Children 3 - 15 are $12.  Children under 3 are free.  Gate prices are higher by $3. The VIP Pit Party is $5.
