CFS Track Announcer to Retire

Rivewrview, NB - July 14th, 2011 CFS regrets to announce that our illustrious and long standing "voice of the CENTRE for Speed",  Richard Gauthier,  has informed us that due to changes in his personal life and other time constraints he will be winding down his announcing duties at the CENTRE ending with the Atlantic Championships events at the end of this season.  "Richard will be with us for several more dates scattered throughout this season but has asked us to find a replacement" said Tim Wile of the CENTRE.  "Richard has been an outstanding announcer and publicist for the speedway for almost  10 seasons now" continued Wile.  Gauthier, who got his start on the mic as a radio DJ many years ago, has offered to help any newcomers get acquainted with the position and "show them the ropes".  The speedway has begun its search for a replacement announcer for its motorsports events to do the "play by play" and commentary at the track on Sunday afternoons and would welcome any inquiries from any interested parties regardless of experience.  Interested parties can contact the speedway either in person at the track, or by phone at 506-866-6387 or 388-2415. "To Richard, we'll look forward to your remaining events with us and on behalf of the racing community and ourselves we want to thank him for all his great work through the years.  He will be greatly missed" said Wile.
