They paid full price for the NCATS races and from what I was told and it was a lot of money each race. I also heard they broke even on the first one not sure about the second race.

There is a lot of things that have to be fixed at the track I heard the sewage bill cost close to 2 million dollars and that is why the track doesn't look like the promissed track they presented at the Vaughan Mall Press Release.

Did I miss this part of an older thread. Why were the races canceled in 2007??

I think theyll have better attendance this year since they plan to run some shows on Sundays.

How they figured on getting fans out when the 2 area tracks (Flamboro and Merrittville) are running the same day is beyond me.

A nice paying Late model Sunday afternoon show with an old time enduro race at the end and maybe one other class like thunders or hobbies or a $1000 to win king of the hill...a beer garden...hooter girls dunk tank...every month...it will slowly get fans out.

Seriously I know a few people, including myself, that havent been there for years are going to the Sunday Arca show for one and waiting for the rest of the schedule.

right-and it would be a great time to try and get some of the Buffalo area fans back, especially with the indecision re Lancaster's operation this year and Holland slowly gravitating to becoming a thrill show track. (Lancaster and Holland are another couple of Saturday tracks not that far from Cayuga that used to supply fans for the Sunday shows in the 70s and 80s)

I apoligize, maybe my comment regarding OSS was out of context. What I meant to convey about the OSS at Cayuga was that there was not really close racing during either event likley a result of the track size at Cayuga rather than the quality of racing. I am sure that the OSS is a better show at smaller tracks when racing can be closer.

agreed-taken on an unproven commodity was risky at best.
