It sounds like it was a decent show, one that I would have enjoyed seeing, but this fan WILL NOT be there as long as the new management of Cayuga Speedway continues to GOUGE at the gate. The season ticket was never an option of any real use for me as there aren't enough events of interest to me on their schedule to make it viable especially when my 250 mile round trip is added in. They had best take another look at their pricing. It's waaaaay out of line.
I will happilly pay $50 for an entire Saturday at Toronto Motorsports Park, and the cost of getting there and back, for the IHRA AC/Delco Canadian Nationals (because I greatly enjoy drag racing as well as roundy-round) because there is no doubt that you get your money's worth with hundreds of race cars of various descriptions, open pits and a show that goes from morning until after dark complete with the always fun "Night of Fire" finale. Oh, and an extra $5 will get you a reserved seat.
$45 for qualifying and two features with 50 cars total is a ripoff plain and simple. It's the last thing Ontario stock car racing needs, a gouging promoter. A pox on them!!
Btw, D.J. Kennington won the Cayuga pole in May with a 20.78. Not quite as quick as the ASA LM's, but faster than the best Cascar pole time that I can recall which was 21.06. What kind of times were the Oscaar guys pulling?

Yeah, I thought it was a pretty good night at Cayuga also. Decent car counts and a decent crowd. I thought that the crowd would be better for a double header like this even with the ticket prices. I was also curious as to why the #15 was given his position back. I thought that maybe the ASA had a rule in place where they revert to last lap when a car is spun and the car that was spun got his position back and the offender is sent to the back. But when the #5 was sent to the back for spinning the #11?, I don't recall the #11 regaining his spot. Adjust the ticket prices and build on shows like this and Cayuga can be successful again.
Would have loved to see Hanley racing instead of pacing.

Also, the gauntlet race needs a bit of work I think. Looked like 5 mini stocks trying to stopp a big van...all without actually hurting the equipment!

Thanks for the time Buford. Sub 20 secs is plenty quick!
