Very disappointed in Carpentier

I was paying attention to driver introductions on Sunday, on the radio since there was no TV here.  On MRN they had the drivers introduce themselves ,name, team, hometown.  I remember Juan Montoya being from somewhere in Columbia, Gregg Biffel was from somewhere in Washington, Jeff Gordon from California , and then the polesitter Patrick Carpentier he's from Las Vegas .............. nice slap in the face.

Mr Gillette want him to concentrate on the race in Montreal for obvious marketing reasons, he had better tell Patrick where he is from.

Oh well what should I have expected????????????

If not Vegas...they would have probably said Quebec.

Read my post

It was the drivers themselves doing the intro.

The frenchman with the accent said he was from Las Vegas.

The scotchman said he was from Edinbourgh.

Drivers often refer to the City or State that they presently reside in. Patrick lives in Las Vegas. I've heard Jeff Gordon say that he was from Charlotte recently during intros. Yes, it would be nice if Carpentier said "Quebec" or "Canada", but I don't personally feel slighted if he says "Las Vegas". And if you'll notice, he displays the Canadian Flag beside his name above the drivers door. Drivers usually have their home state flag displayed. I was born and raised in Hamilton, Ontario. But when asked, I now say that I am from Cayuga. What difference does it make?

Racenut, I agree with you. He proudly displays the Canadian flag.

Get over it.
