I like how the headline reads "PARTLY to blame"...seems it was pretty much 100% their fault.

Is the place that does the maintenance NASCAR or is it a third party that is hired by NASCAR?

I doubt  NASCAR does the maintenance on airplanes. But i would suspect we will see BAR on here soon saying "see these people are bad"  or "I told you so".    jw

NASCAR has to make sure the planes are ready to go before they use them. like it or not jason, NASCAR helped kill those people...I like you, but i think u are wrong on this one...it is nascar's fault.

NASCAR is partly to blame for this on the maintenance side of things, but the pilot should have never taken that plane once he was made aware of there being problems with the planes navigation system .. Ask any pilot, if there's a problem with the plane and you've been made aware of it, you don't take it. You either get a new plane or scrap the flight.

NASCAR has already paid out close to $1 Million to the pilots family. The other passanger is the husband of ISC's president Lesa France Kennedy .. NASCAR has also filed a lawsuit against airplane manufacturer Cessna, stating that the aircraft company's negligence and its faulty plane are responsible for the crash.
