is it just me or is the fact the the 48 team as been caught the most at bending or breaking the rules. here we have a crew chief that has been caught seven times i think and yet he and his team are the example we show to our kids. we tell ourselves that cheaters never prosper,NOT. am i the only one with a sour taste in their mouth or are others feeling the same way. lastly what are they doing that has not been caught,if anything? feeling just a little ripped off when a team caught cheating gets a check for 7 million.
I agree...Knaus is on the leading edge of cheating...
I know if the rear window being too high...falsely shaped nosecones....a gas tank designed ot appear full but not be...not sure about otehrs
In the 60's Smokey pulled all that kind of stuff too and was and still by many (myself included) is hailed a hero and a legend. Chads track bar/window trick was brilliant and will go down in my books as one of the greats (it wasn't realy cheating the car DID pass the template when it had to didn't it?) but he still doesn't hold a candle to some of the stuff Smokey pulled off. Guys like Knaus, Robby Gordon and Tony Stewart are a dead breed in the current politicaly correct, bow down to corprate america joke that NASCAR has become. I can barely stand the sport (at it's so called highest level) as it is now save for a few guys hanging onto the sports good old days.
So do I think the championships are tarnished? yeah sure they are .................because nobody else has the balls to show up. Shame on the current state of NASCAR, give me REAL short track racing any day.
