so pine what do you think of   Chrissy Wallace...started 35th and finished  18th on the lead lap in the craftsman truck race yesterday.  that series is pretty competetive dont ya think
what do you think of the 47%  increase in women coming to nascar races in the past two years..  that stat seems pretty realisitic to me after going to vegas and seeing how many women were screaming at the top of there lungs for there driver (mostly kasey kahne or jimmie  johnson).    my wife comes to the races now and i even caught her buyiing a tony stewart coat the last time. now its something we both enjoy.  we need more PEOPLE involved in racing weather they are women or men, more people =  more sponsors
and even if you think that young danica girl is useless,  she finished 6th in the first race of the year.  i personally dont like her but she can shoe a race car,  and ya cant take that away from her.
Have your opinion pine we are all entitiled to it but respect the other people on the forum.  the person who started this thread is a member of a championship team and she puts on a suit every weekend and goes over the wall.  that is a dangerous thing and anyone who does it has my kudos.
grow up and quit tryiing to start arguements with everyone.   enjoy the race today everyone.... i got my money on Denny Hamlin  hes due for a win.

Agreed.  We need more women in racing.

Remind me why we need more women in racing and what they add to the sport ?

Are Hockey, baseball, football, Mens Olympic sailing, target shooting, ski jumping etc etc etc missing this magical quantity that only women can bring as well ?

other than an oldtimer way of thinking why not enlighten us to why women should not be in racing with men, does this also include other groups as well.just a little too redneck for me. your other sports examples mainly depend on physical stature, while it does play a part in racing its not the most important part, that would be the mind. are you saying women are not smart enough to race against men.

as much as im all for women in racing, chrissy wallace's performance yesterday really isnt a ringing endorsement. With all the chaos and cautions, all she really had to do was keep her nose clean, she didnt really DO anything performance-wise...

she showed patience and stayed out of the wrecks....some days thats all you have to do!!  lead lap at martinsville....not bad, not bad.    she has won 5 late model races at hickory and that must not be an easy task.
We need women  in racing so we can maximize the markets we can advertise too.  not just driving,  but just beiing involved.  jw

Replying to a question with a question will seldom draw the responce from me you are looking for .  I was not aware that Muggsy Bogues was bigger or stronger then most women nor did i realize it took great strength to be a target shooter or to skipper a sail boat .
