Still, they're shining examples of coming through the ranks (like people are 'supposed' to do), but also people who shouldn't be anywhere near the level of racing they're competing in...

tuff break for Patrick he was running great

I agree, I was listenning to him on the scanner, he started to get excited and let his crewchief know with about 10-15 laps to go, and was looking to his crewchief for help, prior to that his car was tight then got loose & tight, then a vibration developed! He was complaining that it was so tight & loose he couldn't handle it in the corners and was scraping the wall. I was surprised he went as far as he did, as this went on for about 10 laps before the tire let go. There was nothing the team could do at this point, if he had have pulled in for a tire, they would have gone a lap down and lost any chance of getting in for Sunday's race. As mentioned, man this was really unfortunate, his car was running great, Patrick was doing an awesome job driving it and his spotter and crewchief were working really well with him! Robbie Gordon was trying to help out in the draft as well. His spotter mentioned several times that Robbie woud work with him. Patrick is going to be a force to be wreckoned with before the season is finished this year! He's had me as a fan ever since his race in our old CASCAR series when he raced at Cayuga 2 years ago!

As I was Part of the Crew Patrick raced for when he raced CASCAR in 2006, It was heart breaking when his tire blew.(He doesn't have much luck with tires) But he will for sure be dominating once he starts to get the hang of things! He did an awesome job, and as much as he could to get into the race!
