The problem was, yes the lapped truck took the wind off Hornaday and sent him up into Busch, THE FIRST TIME. That’s racing, I doubt Busch would’ve cared. The problem was the second time that put them both into the wall. He couldn’t collect his truck, so rather than letting off, collecting it he stayed full on it, out of control. The only thing that saved him from wrecking it then and there was that Busch’s truck served as a bumper! It was a dumb luck second save, and it was his stupid choice to risk both trucks with a last turn to the checkers style move, rather than safely collecting his truck and taking another run at Busch later.

so you're saying that kyle couldn't have let off the gas... after all hornaday had the line and was passed the door, and busch was crowding him down into the other truck

As I sit here reading the comments, even the "best" make mistakes.  I have only raced 3 years and I've made some big ones myself.  I want to thank all the drivers who have raced against me for their patience and allowing me to have so much fun.  You guys are awesome.  I think Thunder Cars are one of the best classes out there.  I also want to THANK the track owners for giving me the opportunity to let loose and have so much fun.  This year we won $3,375.00 and my sponsors donated another $5,000.00 for a total of $8,375.00 donated to Easter Seals.  I want to THANK all of my sponsors (54) for their generosity.  Hope to see everyone next year and have again as much fun.  It's all up to us to make it happen.

You are pleasure to see at the track, along with the demeanor you bring, you set an outstanding example of sportsmanship, on and off the track, that many could learn from.
