Parade of Champions this Saturday!

The Brighton Speedway 2014 Parade of Champions will take place Saturday, May 3 in downtown Brighton. The event begins at 3:00pm and will benefit the Brighton Fare Share Food Bank. See all the cars and stars of Brighton Speedway before the first green flag of the season!

Fans are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to the parade. The food bank is in particular need of hot cereal, cold cereal, jam, juice, chunky soup, dry soup, canned fruit, canned meats, rice, instant coffee, tea, and personal products. Cash Donations will also be accepted. Fans can drop off early donations at Vanderlaan Building Supplies, McDougall Insurance and Financial, and Brighton Cramahe Chamber Office.

The 2014 racing season officially kicks off on Saturday, May 3 at 7:00pm. The Vanderlaan Building Supplies Pro Late Models, OilGARD Canadian Modifieds, Brighton Automotive Pro Stocks, and Bill's Johns Comp 4s will all do battle on the 1/3-mile clay oval. Admission is just $2 when you donate a non-perishable food item to the Fare Share Food Bank. Bring the whole family and help pack the stands!
