OK so in case anyone misses it by my sign on name I am Rhonda the #44 Thunder car drivers wife and the step mother of the #33 charger. I have been sitting back and watching these threads and was not going to respond, but it has gotten way out of hand and you all have broken me, i am going to have my say too.
Last time i checked we were all out there to race, we are not out for a drive on hwy 400. Racing means trying to win, win means making your car go fast, which means working on it and doing your homework. At time things go both ways bumping other cars, nudge them out of the way, pass on the inside, outside, split them down the middle, they also do this to you. I don't mean going out there and wrecking people on purpose. But it is called racing, it isn't called a Saturday night drive in a circle. It is an emotional sport and bad feelings will also go with it.
To address the Penny's and the fact that the cheered when Dave Glaze was spun into the air and went backwards into the wall. That is the most disgusting thing that I have heard, to cheer for someone who could potentially be seriously hurt. How anyone can do that is beyond me, I could not do that to anyone no matter how much i disliked them, as they may have wife, husband, parents, children who are there witnessing it. And wether we like it or not this is just a past time for us and not our full time job. We all have to be able to go to work to support our families. I guess i should have expected this from them as they cheered when my husband went into the wall a couple of years ago, I had just forgotten about it until this weekend.
To Brandon Crumbie
Up until this weekend I had alot for respect for you and your dad. I still don't think that you are a bad kid but you let you emotions and your friends get the better of your judgement. The fact the 4 of you tried to gang up on one driver is unfair, if you have a problem then you needed to address it. As for Dave Glaze leaving due to the protest, it had nothing to do with it. There was a huge time lapse before the protest even was handed in to when we were told. Dave G had already started to pull out as he had to be at work by 6:30 in the morning. But we managed to stop him before he left the parking lot. He parked his truck and came back in and went to talk to Steve St. Onge, he did not want to DQ'ed because he went home. Steve told him not to worry because it was not going to happen as they were not taking it seriously. He then stayed to watch the way that you guys were carrying on. It was very amusing, with the I hate Dave Glaze meeting going on in the tech shed (we called it that not them).
I am not going to go on here and bash your mother, it is your family business and no one else. You are well aware that there has been plenty of issues and they have now been dealt with. Please everyone lets leave it at that, she is his mom and he loves her. How would you feel if someone was on her talking about your mothers that way.
Now for you Racinggurl (Erica)
You sweetheart need to shut your mouth. I realize that Brandon is your boyfriend and you want to defend him because that is what we do when we care for someone. But you did not help the situation and, infact you made it much worse. You come on here cursing, swearing, making accusations (xtreme has been getting away with cheating for 4 years). Can you prove that? Are you a tech person? All of our cars have been torn down over the years, these tear downs include others who have said that we are cheating, we have never failed tech. Yes Chrissy yelled at Penny and she should not have, but were you there to see her father go after her and him yelling at her for it? Is that why you have written F*** Crystal Doucette on everything that you can? Please explain this to me as you are always really nice to us outside of the track and away from the team you hang with. You go out of your way to talk to us then, but when we are at the track you act as though we are something you scrap off the bottom of your shoe. Last time i checked having a boyfriend racing did not make you a race car expert, i am not saying that I am but at least i do alot of work on my husbands and daughters cars so i somewhat know what i am talking about. Either you like us or your don't, you can't keep pretending that you are innocent is all of this.
My final thought, what happens on the track should stay on the track and we do try to do that. It doesn't alway work but we try. We have helped many drivers over the years with advise, parts, and support when it was needed. We have had many of them in our home (including you Erica) and we hope that for the most part that peoples opinions of us as not as bad as the 4 drivers have made it seem. For the life of me I cannot figure out what we have personally done to you to have you attack us so viscously other then kicking you a** on the track. But you know what if you don't like us that is unfortunate for you because we have alot of fun and are a good group of people. and if you don't like us that is ok we are there to race not to make friends, and you can kiss our collective a**es.
Sorry for the exceptional long post.

Thank you, and please beleive me when i tell you that stuff between my mom and you guys is DONE. I cant make you beleive it but i guess you will just have to see on your own...and as for my mom's actions when Dave Glaze hit the wall...she herself has admitted that was out of line and will NOT happen again. I wouldnt wanna be laughed at or yelled at when i hit the wall so i dont think its fair for that to happen to any other driver. And as for the protest...it wasnt very well thought threw I know that now. And i know i should have done it on my own not with a gang of people. And if thats why he left than thats ok we'll leave it at that. A night of racing shouldnt interfere with work the next day.
Rhonda I will let you know who I am Saturday!! maybe you already know PM me if you do!! as For the Gipper crowd if it were my choice I would have him in that 35 till then end of the year just to prove that it's completely legit I know it myself , but some premadonna would rite it!! and Crum-b you didn't fork out the dough it was a colletion of the 4 of you!! remember you asked Slaughters to help too and he told you to?....That's right eat it LMAO!!! The Penny's well this is another story to laugh at potential serious injury is non-human and dispicable!! lower then dirt itself, and Al you need to relax and talk or somebody won't be as nice as Chance is with you, I for one was not worried about Gipper getting hurt "She's Tough" LOL(that is the safest 4 banger around, kudos to Kevin and the boys @ RIM) just wanted the car to be ok so we could watch him dismantle the field cause we knew he'd get back to the front!! as for him leaving the pits he did come back and Chance will tear that car down anytime but let's get serious the $100 doesn't even cover the stuff to put it back together!! Face it fellas it's just a "B.A." ride!!
Well I'm happy to see that people have come to their senses here and talked a little bit about their differences. I may be the new guy, but there is a reason I race at Barrie and part of that is that usually people at the speedway get along very well. I am not going to get into any of the Tech/Protest stuff, it's not my deal, and not my place to talk about it. I have a lot of respect for Dave Doucette / Christal Doucette / Dave Glaze and the Xtreme team, they are top competitors in all of the classes they run, and you can tell they work on their cars a lot. We work on my car just about every day and it's nowhere near those cars, as far as fast and looking good! Brandon Crumbie I have never met, but he runs against me in the Thunder Cars (in Devan's car) and I have spoke to his dad on occasion. I haven't heard anything bad about those guys around the Speedway. I have talked to Tia a bunch of times and she is really nice. I think the upside (and downside, sometimes) to our track is the passion that people have for the racing. And it really does go both ways sometimes as we have seen. And as someone pointed out it is just a hobby, a fairly serious one, but we all race for fun in the end right?
Thank you for the compliment Thunder 6. See, I have had my times where my adrenaline get's going good, and I haven't always had the best of attitude, or made the best decision's out at the track either. I let my temper get the best of me. And I have totally tried to change that this year. So it is great to see everyone be understanding about Brandon's turn of thought. I understand it happens where someone will get caught up in the moment, when all the dust clears, so does their mind and they may change their train of thought. Which Brandon did. He is proving that he would rather have a good name/time at the track then get caught up in the whirlwind and have tonns of drama begin. I am really proud of him for saying what he has. I was proud of him before for sticking up for what he believes is right. But not he realized it is worth?? I'm glad to see it all come to an end. ;D
P.S I'm lovin this font colour option! Whoo Hoo lol
