Whats shamefull about it Crum-B the CRX's were pulling those lap times before the success weight went in and weren't last year so whats legal about them. So you just told everyone they are too great job. And by the way if it was you and one of them for the points I'm sure your going to get screwed.
I think if someone is suspect of cheating or what ever and the other team puts up the MONEY'',,If the suspect is found that he is cheating BORE,, STROKE .,,Carb or Chip'' or what ever the case it is The Suspect should Be escorted off the Property,,and its up to the Suspect to put back his or her engine on their dime !...
barrie 97 try this on $100 top end $200 one piston, top end and crank check. if the car is legal the money goes to the protested car for gaskets etc, if the car is illegal loss of points for that nite, suspension, loss of 15% year to date points, illegal parts seized and auctioned off and finally money returned to the protesting team.---swaybar it should not matter if the car was borrowed or not it sucks but the person lent the car hopefully with full awareness that this could happen.
Yea hill3 i get that part, but it shows very poor sportsman ship on the part of the complainers, to the fellow racer that owns the car. They race with him week in and week out, and don't have a problem with him or his car until he lends it out to someone else. He himself is not that competitive and not a great driver (sorry Nick), the car is already a shared ride and races at another track where it is very competitive and has a very talented driver. If they had a problem with Glaze driving it then they should have protest before the race as per standard operating procedure, not after. Also the group of them decided that Penny's name would go on the protest for as tech has the right to include their car in the tech inspection as well and the rest of the did not want their cars tech. Hmmmm does that seem right to you? Not to me, if they are going in on it is a group then the group should have their cars included not just the weakest link.
I just think that it was handled wrong from the beginning.
1) they didn't care that Glaze ran the car when he was at the back
2) they waited until 1/2 hour after the race to protest
3) they we mad the he ran the same times as they were running before they were given weight
4) they say that he pulled out because of the protest - but he was gone from the pits before they handed anything in (he had time to go through tech after the race, load his car, and leave) and some how they believe all this happen in within 10 minutes of the race ending
I realize that this is just my opinion and not everyone else is going to share it, but i think that most people have to agree that this was just not handled properly, and they are going to make it difficult for anyone who is high up in points who has a bad night and needs to borrow a car to stay in the competition. No one is going to want to lend it in case someone else decides they are pissy and don't like the finish and want to tear apart your car. The ones that did this are B Burrows (2nd in points) D Burrows (1st) B Crumbie (3rd) they all have spare cars to run. The Burrows bring a spare car with them most nights, Crumbie can use his dads, Penny is the only one who is much lower in points (8th) and i don't think that anyone would lend him a car anyways so this is not an issue for them. Notice here that Glaze is 6th in points (no where near the top) and Penny is still pissy from their battle last week. Prior to this i would have lent my car out if some really needed it to keep them in the points, (since i am not in the points battle) but now i wouldn't, I would not like to have a weeks worth of working on my car when another drive doesn't like the person who i lent my car too.
they bring a spare car to the track? how far into the night are they allowed to change if they have a problem? that sound alot like having the ability to BUY a track championship. one car one driver on one night. also four to protest one is wrong i was part of that one year and to this day i am still know as a member of the street stock mafia, not always a good thing. and yes if proper procedure was not followed by the four teams doing to protesting then they should quit complaining about here, blame them selves. it sure sounds like sour grapes to me he beat me therefor he must be illegal, maybe he was luckier or better on that given nite lick your wounds and come back next time and beat him on the track.
