You missed the point entire point of my last statement, nice try thought. What I was saying was look what 4 advertisers there were + who the track owners was= Mr. Coates, now continue to follow, So the speedway is paying rogers to broadcast there stuff for 3 years, with the advertisers being the speedway owner, so now your paying out twice as much for a show that may possibly take away from your Saturday night crowd.
So loss of revenue + lose of revenue + lose of revenue= The track bled money on broadcasting. So thats why i said earlier I hope they get advertisers or the TV program might not be around long.

all that money he spent worked, cause you just named all of his companys and the power hour hasnt been on in two years

that...or the fact that he works for coates

lol

I do know that the Rogers deal for 3 years was $250,000 and Gord ate most if not all of it. Devide that by about 63 race nights and it works out to about $4,000 a week. Now fiquire out how much a dealers makes on a new or used car and I will bet that Gord considered it money very well spent.

Think of it this way guys:

TV broadcasting will help you secure solid sponsors. People are more likely to identify with the racing if they have seen it on the TV. And therefore be more likely to want to help you.

Just my thought.

I really don't see what the big fuss is here.. I mean if you're talking about "Roger's" deal it was 3 years then it finished it wasn't renewed for whatever reason and that's that. sponsors/corporate funding which I am pretty sure that's not happening either... Seeing I have been asked to be involved with some of the upcoming things (I.E mall Show Etc.) and one of the people at the track that knows his job inside and out. I don't see alot of Things overly changing when it comes down to funding anywas. Remember people all new owners... meaning they aren't exactly Pro when it comes down to dealing with the track.. I think this first year for them will be taking it easy trying to get the hang of things.
That's my Opinion.
