Jim it was also mentioned (from what I remember) that whatever it was paid to you drivers BOOSTED the Barrie points fund..,( Or at least I think) What did you get for finishing 8th in points ??
Jim one futher thing(and this is my last post)LOL I believe BARRIE NEXT GEN 9 received 310 for finishing 9th in points his rookie year 2 seasons ago.. So you should be around the 350 range if I was guessin??? Do I have that right Chris about the 9th???
And I cant find what 8th in points should of paid you on the website either so I must be the one on queludes!!LOL... Swore I seen that prior??? Hope the guideline helps though!!
Ya Dave you are right it was $310 for 9th, but why would 5th only pay $340 this year. I know the rain made payouts less from Nascar and the track gave me $140 so thats $480 for 5th which is still good not complaning about it, I just want to know if this is all.. 🙂
the track gave me $66.68 ??? nascar $216.00. one night of frustration and i'm labelled "unsportsmanlike" you have no idea the restraint that i showed! i don't know anyone that would have taken my situation the last night pleasantly. oh well, i love bsw just need a change for now and i wish everyone there all the best in 2010. even you vokey, you crazy bastard :D. this is just what i heard from numerous drivers about the bonus cash, if it isn't so then there you go. i'm just trying to find out, not bashing barrie or the owners or trying to make anyone look bad. the points payouts haven't been listed since 2007 on the website or otherwise.
This was the response that I got from Jim Payetta.
The cheque coming from NASCAR is made up of two amounts ... One for the Barrie Points fund (which we pay into based on how many races we had) and one from the series prize fund. The amount on the piece of paper in your envelop is those two amounts added together. NASCAR will send those out and they are in US Funds. The cheque from Barrie Speedway is the bonus amount. We added that bonus amount because the number of rainouts drastically reduced what was in the weekly points fund.
