.... Dont know if they'd let him run another car if he wrecked in the first 50 either, cause technically you have to qualify the car in the heats. For twin 50s they time trial for qualifying and points so if he were to take a time trial in the 19 car they might not let him run another...

Here is what the Barrie Speedway rule actually says:
(a) If a car is disabled during an event the driver may borrow
another car that has passed pre-race inspection. This must be approved
by the Technical Official in charge. The car number must be changed to
the new driver's registered number. The owner/driver of the borrowed
car relinquishes all rights for running the car in that event. The
borrowed car will start scratch in qualifying heats and start the
feature in the position earned. If qualifying is complete when the car
is borrowed the car will start the feature in scratch position.

It says that if qualifying is complete then the borrowed car starts scratch. There is also nothing written about only getting points for one car on the night either although this has been the way that things have been applied most of the time this year. Maybe next year this will get clarified in the published rules.

I believe that Brad Holden got points for both Thunder features a couple of weeks back when he drove the 97 and the 10 car in the twin features. I don't know if he ran the 10 in any of the heats though.

Hopefully none of this will matter and it will be a clean and dry night of racing with everything decided on the track.

Good luck to all competitors on Saturday. Billy has been impressive in the Chargers but I have to say Go Desi as Merv Walt sponsored my dad and John for many years and gave me enough stuff that I put the name on the side of my car as well.

Thayne it looks to me like you could still move up a spot or two if you keep running like you have been. That bad luck has to be on the run by now.
