I dont know about all of that but I think he does lead in most NSF cheques.

I will start by saying that Tom Walters is an exceptional driver. He's a top dog year after year. Has a great car, great support and is exciting to watch. His accomplishments shouldn't go overlooked.
That being said, nothing I said in my last post was false. I didn't cut Walters up or say he didn't deserve what he's won. Everything I posted was fact, or close to it.
Were you behind the scenes AT ALL during the 2005 or 2006 season? And by behind the scenes, I don't mean in the pits.
Did you work at the track as an official, flagman etc.?
Were you in charge of tech?
If not, you missed a lot. Numerous times he threatened to pack up and race elsewhere. One time he actually went through tech and refused to tear down. He loaded up and pulled out as Moran practically begged him to go through tech so he could collect is 1st place points. Tom left in a snit saying he would never be back. I have witnessed him threaten to leave five or six times. Knowing that if he did the track would lose a) a great driver and b) hundreds of weekly fans. Sure enough, the track gave in and did whatever it took to keep him around. After all, why wouldn't the track want him there? He drew the crowds and ultimately made the track a lot of money. Why Coates never did anything I don't know. I didn't think he was the type to allow these kind of things to go on.
I won't get into the numerous times he was caught cheating but let off the hook for reasons mentioned above.
You see, a lot goes on that you don't see from corner four.
Then there's incidents like the time he stuffed Gaunt into the wall. Surely you remember that. Gaunt was leading the points at the time. Walters parked him, ended p taking the points lead that night and ended up winning the championship. Call me a sore loser, but that was a disgraceful display on Waters' part. John is a class act on and off the track. Him getting that treatment left a bad taste in my mouth.
The 2006 season ending on a ran date was out of the drivers' hands. The track made a decision that's fine. The weather is uncontrollable. It just happened to go in Walters' favor.
I'm guessing you're a Walters fan that knows only what you see/read. A fan that can't see past Tommy's 24 championships. Well it goes a little deeper than what you see on the track.
For reasons I can't discuss here, Walters was basically told by the powers that be to do whatever it took to make sure Gaunt didn't win. In 2005 there was the incident I discussed earlier. In 2006 John dug his own grave by missing a point night or who knows what Walters may have done.
Its all politics. If you think it doesn't go on, you're sorely mistaken. You don't win as many championships as Stompin' Tom has without knowing how to pull a few strings.
I like how you conveniently mentioned conspiracy theories. There were none of those going around when John ran away with the championship in 2004 when Coates owned the track right?
Also, I said nothing about Walters moving to NASCAR intentionally park John. Don't put words in my mouth. I just hope Coates lets John do his thing and forget about what happened in the past.
It's no secret I'm a John Gaunt fan at this point. I was upset to see Gaunt lose last season due to missing a night. I'm not going to make excuses for him. He's a big boy and that was his decision. Despite being a Gaunt fan, I'm not a Walters hater. I like his aggressive (sometimes too aggressive) style he carries with him wherever he runs. Weather it be Sunset, Barrie or Kawartha.
Now maybe we can discuss things like adults without resorting to name calling? I know that's a lot to ask for on here but we can try right?
