If the car is under weight it would seem to be an easy call for a DQ, but is there any allowance for spent fuel, etc?
How many OSCAAR cars were there and how many finished? Was it a wreckfest as others have posted?
What time was the show over at Barrie? The last few times I went to Barrie they have had really long shows.
My 2007 Race Count: 15
My 2007 Track Count: 8 - New Smyrna (FL), Volusia (FL), Bristol (TN), Toledo (OH), Delaware (ON), Flamboro (ON), Merrittville (ON), Kawartha (ON)
Next up: Oshweken Speedway, June 22
I beleive that 23 started, and about 15 finished. Most of the cars out were mechanical, the only ones that I can think that were out due to wrecks were the 83 and 69 (I may be missing one or two). Most of the wrecks were guys spinning each other out in the corners, but there was no "big one" that you can have with these guys at a short track. Like most tracks, there were 3-4 cars that were responsible for almost all of the wrecks. They finished a little after 11, but autograph session ate at least 1/2 hour of the night.
All of the Oscaar drivers were in the tech shed for well over an hour as there was a huge dispute over the teching ,disobeying the flagman ,and generally disregarding the rules, the race director did not quit because they ran out of french fries. He quit because no body was willing to abide by the tech rules, it is a members owned series so if the members do not care who does ? you can't D/Q anyone if the members will not accept it and back up their officials and Tech men. FACT not hear say.
JOKE !!!!!! Yep great crowd, word is Tech wanted to d/q the top 3 cars , winner Fletcher under weight, 1 1/2 long meeting, Race Director resigned the lunatics are running the asylum ,Tech guys did there job and keep getting over ruled by a spine less members owned club, "there are so few rules that the ones we do have should be easy to uphold" ,weight is a no brainer. Long live the wreck fest cause she won't be around to long if this keeps up.
so you are saying in your last post this statement is fact ???
It i true that the Oscaar people were in a closed door meeting in tech for a very long time, and l was told by a couple of Oscaar drivers that the race director quit, and RUMOR and l say RUMOR was that J.F 61 was accused of being under weight. Plus 89 was a real class act giving the flag man the finger when he was black flagged mechanical for smoking out the place , the rest l do not know .
