When I hear "Traction Control", I think of a module looking for wheel spin, and limiting rpm accordingly... not sure what this post is actually trying to make a point of?

^ Thank you

I was going to point out the same thing, but really didn't want to get involved. It's something that needs to be discussed at a drivers meeting.

hmmm, well, Yes you are absolutely right, but that's not what the cheaters in these classes (NOT AT BARRIE) are using. they are using timing adjustments to reduce the power at selectable points of the track.  Something like this:

http://techwest.ipower.com/page20.html

These types of thing cut into the MSD boxes and retard the spark timing when activated, this reduces power which in turn reduces wheel spin. Basically the driver just engages the system at some point mid turn and once he's out and firmly in a straight line, disengages it.

Yes yes yes, I know what you're thinking, a decent driver controls power with his foot but that's the point, you don't have to be a decent driver with this..........
