So basically nothing has changed over the yrs. with the foot & brain ....... maybe this radio deal is just a $$$ grab thing then just like all the other $$$ stuff introduced into racing thats not needed !
We should get back to racing being a HOBBY and not a business so the little guy can race and have fun, it's that what racing is all about "FUN"?

Yeah, there's a bit of truth to it but... If we wern't nickled and dimes on the other parts that we have to have, sponsors carbs and tires etc. then transponders and radios would be easier to swallow. Line ups and place on track are the #1 source of complaints any given night. Getting that right is worth a few bucks. Don't be afraid of the new technology just because its new. It might just be worth it.

If the cars can get lined up quicker and off to the green flag and the odd guy doesn't pile into a spinning car then the whole show can be expanded and alot more racing, better quaility racing, can be  done for the fans.

If you don't like the radios, buy a broken on on ebay for 5 bucks, put it in the car. When they're doing the re line up, sit still, the other cars will move around ya.  (your on your own with that spinner coming out of 4 !!!)

i'm also thinking of this from a fan standpoint, it must be awful watching the cars go around 10x to line up for a spun out car. without fans= no racetracks. i know in the past we have been hosed, but i honestly believe this is a good fit!

One way radios were mandated in every class except 4 for fun at Capital City Speedway this year. At first I was upset about the extra cost. But after a few weeks in I have certainly seen the benefit. After a caution we used to coast around forever jockying for position until the flagman would get on the track and stop the cars and point to one car at a time to get lined back up. Now they just tell us over the radio to move to a position, and we are back racing in no time. The savings in race fuel is probably paying for the reciever. One other benefit is knowing exactly who is being black flagged and for what reason.
