Why only one-way?  Why not buy radios for the driver and crew chief so they can communicate, and then have someone monitor race control?

two way radios lead to much more mirror driving or what was known as "radio control driving. Cheap $89.00 "raceceiver"should be mandatory. In fact any 10 channel scanner would do. Dirt's Danny Johnson was infamous as a radio control driver with his crew chief calling all the blocking tactics before DIRT mandated two ways as only allowable in 200 lap (& up races)

I truely beleive that receivers in conjuction with the transponders is a great idea. Two way radios will lead to , too much spotter driving, and as someone said, mirror driving. Receivers are the way to go.SAFETY,SAFETY,SAFETY. Great Idea, how can we get this going? GREAT IDEA.

i think the new owners would need someone to bring it up at a driver's meeting....

One way radios are used at Ohsweken Speedway and are great! They help speed up everything. Drivers know who is being blacked flagged. Mini Stocks on up use the radios....one of the best calls going.
