Its a good way to gage how the show is the amenities that the track has things like that. It lets the fan have their two cents heard. Plus if the drivers had the chance maybe things would start to change for us???
chris, if they read these threads then what don't they understand? we've been bitching since early may, to no resolve not even one improvement. overall they(at barrie) are doing ok for people who have no clue what race tracks are all about. i believe it has more to do with the hands on guy who runs the show not the owners as much. you can't deny that so far the actual races are few and far between good racing. i remember in 01 - 02 90 percent of all thunder features were green to checkers, and all 50 lappers that year actually went caution free! like i said and i'll say 500x more, the respect thing between drivers is just nonexistant. brian has to make that a priority and not just nail dave44T.C. i also like robbie robinson as a person , but the flagging is just down right bad!
Jim ya you are right with the respect thing, but you know it really just boils down to the guy behind the wheel to make the change. Even if you are told during the drivers meeting this is going to happen when this is done, it still lies in the drivers hand to listen or not. Thats where a radio contact with not just the tower for scoring but maybe the race director, like in the big time if something is developing on the track each driver is warned first then if it continues then the driver is given the black. I think that flagging is one thing that has to be addressed last year was much better but why??? I have no real idea on how tho fix that it the flagmans control there.
radios would 100 percent change things. i'm in all the way, i have no beef paying the small amount of money to clean up the show.
daisygirl818, my car seemed to have a carb problem last night. It ran fine in the heats and practice but come time for the big show, it was a no go. To top it all off I had some sponsors out last night and wanted to put on a good show. Oh well thats racing. Now I would like to say one thing about the track, week after week fans and drivers alike come on here and bash the hell out of Barrie, and the new owners. Has anyone from fans to drivers ever tried to run a track?? Brad and Steve had years to get Barrie turned around and make it what it was before they sold it. I'm not saying that everything is perfect I know its not just like the rest of you, but bashing week in and week out what does that do for the track or fixing the problems?? If I was a new member to CRO and a fan of racing and Barrie was the track in my area reading what people say about it on here would influence if I went or not, and right now I would not want to go. It maybe hard but if we could find away to let our opinions be heard it could be the start to fixing things. One thing is give out comment cards at the gate, maybe do a draw for prizes the following week for card returned to the track, it just a thought, that way the owners get feed back from the fans side and maybe do the same for the drivers, or give us a drop box to put ideas in on how we can fix the issues from our side?? This is jmo and I know that some will see differently.
Hey Chris thats a Hell of a Idea ''Comment Cards''I like it allready''....
Good in theory but being someone who has dealt with that type of Market Research the return on comment cards is very little ALOT of people take them but unfortunately compliance in returning and actually filling them out is very little. Sad fact but people generally are lazy when it comes to PAPERWORK! 🙁
