WOW

so much potential in the atmosphere today/night! I'm shaking with anticipation. The Barrie area is under a THAYNE'S TORNADO WATCH

the conditions are all right for a weather outbreak around midnight the likes that we havent seen since 09.

I don;t mean to scare people and nothing may very well happen, but the public needs to be diligent and is responsible for their own knowledge about situations. If you are camping at Burrel's Creek and can go home...go home...be smart...

a lot of my storm chasing buddies have targeted Barrie today, this is no joke. Now in saying this...this is Ontario and we ahve seen amaziong setup after amazing setup thwarted by our stupid great lakes...haha

I will have my phone on me at the track and we will know before anyone if there is any danger...

As far as the racing, I think we will get most of it in tonight, with thunderstorms looking like they will hole off until a little later in the night like 10 ish.

There may be some rain out ahead of the cold front but it won;t be of too much significance.

Right now sun is our biggest enemy...the more energy that the earth can capture right now the more likelihood of dangerous weather.

I don't want any panic...I just want vigilance. Be aware of your surroundings and keep your eye to the sky....panic helps no one.

I hope nothing verifies and we have a nice night under the stars, but if all of the forcasted ingredients end up actually coming to fruition we need to be ready to react.

I will repeat, I do think we will get most of if not all of the racing in.....from what the models say anyways....

EDIT

the 12Z NAM is now showing some rain in the area between 6 and 9 pm....hopefully this does not verify.
