Im in for Pro 4s all the way, so between me and my dad thats 2 cars lol. I honestly dont think this class would be outrageously expensive...unless you make it that way. I know for my car all I would have to do is go to the scrap yard and go nuts on some Integras and other hondas for the suspension stuff, and as for the motor i dunno maybe bore it .20 over? and shave the head a lil and i think it would have plenty of power...Oh and maybe a set of dual carbs  😉
And if you didnt notice in the rules i made up it says that a front and rear hoop is mandatory and the cars must have minimum 4 bars on drivers side and 3 on passenger side. I can see the suspension thing being true though with stickier tires my spindles and stuff would be weaker, but thats why it says our suspension rules are more open. And as for the Pro 4s being faster than thunder cars...meh boo hoo. at least in pro 4s id have a chance at winning lol.
BTW that lil 4cyl race car looks awsome!

The only problem i see with that is then the Burrows would build Pro4 CRXs and you would be back to running third and forth again ... lol..jk

One of the best paying mini stock races of the year is this weekend at Winchester   $ 1500 to win for 75 laps and your car is legal Crum. If you leave after the races at Barrie you will make it on time for the race on Sunday and you can use the $1500 towards building your Pro4.  They are also running a $ 5000 to win Street Stock race the same day .

I understand your thinking with the stock chassis idea but as mentioned before if you start puttting big slicks on them  with more power there may be strength issues  .  The tires we use are very soft but stand up well because of the lack of weight in our cars. I,ve used a total of 6 tires this year and will finsh the season at that number. New tires are worth a tenth or two unless your comparing them to stuff thats just plain worn out. At 125 each thats a $750 tire bill for the season . I can live with that. Add in the focus motor uses 12/15 bucks off sunoco 94 pump gas a night and i think my program could be considered cheap by some standards. How cheap can you build one ? Guess that depends on your tastes  wants and skills .. I built most of my car myself but  did spend some money on components i felt were important such as good shocks a real racing rad to keep heat in check ,made my own lower struts but bought good upper arms etc. So if the ladies find you more handy than handsome you should be able save a lot of money.
Anyways if any of you come to Flamdega for Octoberfest come on by the the F4 pits and check out the cars and say hello i,d be glad to answer any of your questions  as would any of our guys

biscuit72 how many F4's run on an average night there? They look like they would be a blast to run, if I drove one I think I'd be hooked. I may just come down there to see. I love the rules to.

14 car active cars with a couple under construction.  The club has had some lean car counts  over the last few years but this year it,s been on the up swing. New web site this year , some series sponsors and a lot of new interest. I really think the focus /zetec motor deal is gaining interest within the class and from outside. Is it as cheap as a mini stock to build ? no . but i know you can put one together for less than some thunder car engines i heard of.

WOW... I am blown away. I went to the photo page and those cars look so cool. I would love to see a division like that at our track.
