1 accident all night long, cant ask for a better night of racing by the drivers,i think you can chalk up the lack of on track incidents to an awful lot of experience combined by all the veterans in all the classes. With the big number of cars on the track at the same time in all the classes, you would have thought there would have been more accidents, great driving by all the drivers at sunset. If anything i think your going to see even more drivers making an appearance at sunset in the future.
I had a question concerning the racing at sunset, and I posted it in a sunset thread, this was it,
I've watched the video a few times, and man that was tough. Baker was in, and almost had that pass made, so who is the one that has to lift? Should the 48 have stayed down a bit? Maybe. Should the 19 lifted a little? Maybe. Tough call, but I'll say this, I don't wanna be the one putting a clip on my car after opening night.
Something else i was wondering. Why wasn't a caution thrown when that car spun down in 3 and 4 while the field was coming for the white? The car spins coming for white, the leaders take the white, it looks like the 47 was looking inside of the leaders to make it three wide and he lifts. It looks to me, and i could be wrong, but it looks like his spotter tells him of the car laying there. Then Tony sort of has to avoid the car, and race for the win at the same time. Has anyone asked about it? If you look at the lights, it looks like the green and the yellow lights are showing at the same time, then the caution light is the lone light showing. Then the leaders take the caution and checkered at the same time.
Since sunset seems to be getting discussed here, I've reposted it here. Was it just a mistake?
I too was wondering about the 84 of Cronan being left turned around for what looks like a lap and a half.. Heard to tell if car was fully off the track or not but doesnt look like it to me.. Would agree it looks like the 47 lifts from a potential 3 wide move entering 3..

the caution for the 48 and 19. they came down and told the drivers that this would be the last restart. so thats why the caution and the checkeres was thrown at the same time.
Wow, is everyone ok with this? There was one accident all night and this is the result? There must be a little more to it.
