What were the car counts like , ithink a few of the sauble thunders were at sunset along with most of the other thunder cars from Ontario , including a guy from sault st. marie.
thanks davey....the car worked good up high....too bad the late models didnt have more cars.....lots of banging in that race..lol...record long night....those jcars took a long time to run...jason would be happy with the crowd im guessing......
Well TOWER to answer your question car counts were 15 LLM, 8 Thunders, 15 Mini's, 22 TQ Midgets, and 21 J CAR trucks.. And ya Joe was a great night of racing.. I cant recall seeing that many close finishes in my life.. Place was packed with spectators..The LLM race was pretty rough at the end there, but they did have some nice long green flag runs too. A 35 lapper for the J CARS is far too long at any track..And I enjoy the racing they provide for the most part just think a 20-25 lapper would be more appriopriate for them.. Jr Fitzpatrick had a great run in the TQ''s finishing 2nd to point leader James Gray.. Man is Gray fast ; I had him on the watch at just a shade over 14 second laps and he even ripped off a couple 13.9's in there
I should add I was really impressed with both #35 Andy Kamrath and #9 Peter Koevoet in LLM (was my first time seeing both race).. Those guys are fast and super clean racers.. Too bad Tyler Williams broke before the feature. Nice to see a few visitors in LLM, with Barrie's #88 Steven Matthews winning a heat race and having a top 5 run in the feature. Hope to get back up to Sauble for the Aug 12 Dash for Cash most definitely.. Others visitors in LLM were the 31 of McWhirter and the 22 of 2007 Mosport champ Todd Desisle..Sauble is fast becoming my fav track to visit, such a great facility
hey Charlie 00 bought all the thunder and late model tires just in case he buys a late model, last i heard he was talking with Dilley to buy all the sunset thunder car tires just in case he races there so now your race season is screwed...to bad hope you dont cut any tires...
