they shouldnt split the class....thats dumb it would be just another two classes to add to the lackluster fields in the other classes.....
"in a non bitching tone" get rid of the high end tires even tho i believe the guys who had them would have kick you butts without them anyways......and they wernt illegal when they bought them just saying.
tech more then camber or ride height...
i also think they should either allow a it of tolerance in springs cause if you buy one a spring from crappy tire, then one from bayside and they are different makes who is say they are gonna be the same size to the .001 of an inch??? barrie dropped the ball on a call on this year on that and ruined the points battle.......maybe they should allow a difference of thickness but have a rate difference like 30lbs or something that must be maintained i dunno....i also think spring rubbers should be aloud they are cheap and may stop guys from thinking about messing with springs... $20 for a rubber or $70 for spring.....and these guys who think guys are spending $800 on a programmed computer??? i dont think there are too many that do...how many guys actually go out and spend money on brand new tires.......or other stuff like that not a high %.....it happens yes but not in a mass amount.....

Whatever they do, I hope they dont make the box smaller so to speak, like a spec tire, look at all the wonderfull choices of tires as is.  Force us to buy spec parts and we go broke, then the class is closer and you cant pass as easy, now the guys with the money, (and brains) find ways to cheat so they can have the edge again anyhow.  You will always have the haves and the have nots.  Ive raced spec go karts, right down to weight groups, and guess what?  There are still people who can drive away from others, even when they switch karts  😮

Leave the class alone, and welcome newer more diverse cars in, not limit people and tie their hands.  (if your just so in love with your 1987 honda accord and dont want to broaden your horrizens, dont complain about getting your butt kicked) If your tired of getting beat dont complain for lan sakes, just buy a faster car, there not that expensive lol.

The reason there is no passing in higher classes is because they are all the same.  Same tires, same chassis, same engine, same carbs, same weight, same shocks, same springs, same everything.  What will they regulate next, tire pressue???? 😀

The best Indy car racing for example came from back in the 90s when they had different tire brands, chassis, and engine manufacturers.  (wow sounds kinda like our 4 cyl classes as they are NOW)  The cars were close, but were all better in different parts of the track from each other, so you had passing and guys shuffling spots.

Nobody wants to see another race like Charlotte this past weekend in Asscar, boaring................I thought I was watching late models at Barrie  :'(

Part of the fun in the 4 cyl class is wondering what type of car to get, or what parts and years of stuff you can mix match to get ahead or make gains.  Right down to carbs and fuel injection on the same track together makes for major diversity, and that makes for PASSING, and wild racing.

Four cyl is and will always be an entry division. That said leave it alone, let it be STOCK, and have lots of fun with it while you learn..

Right Wes, because the supply of rwd north american cars is endless, and LM is so cheap to run.

you could operate a track strictly with 4 cylinder divisions and have the best car counts and the payouts wouldn't break the bank......have 3 wide racing all night, and include 4 funs to bring new racers into the sport
