Ok gang gonna try writing at least a few quick blurbs followed by results and see where we end up.. Really exciting night of racing on Industrial Commutator Night, and their cars did quite well in taking 3 of the 4 feature races.. In the LLM division, the story of the night was the performance of #19 Keith McLeod of Barrie who captured both 50 lap feature segments on his main sponsors night.. With the wins, McLeod cut into the 35 point lead of #48 Dwayne Baker, narrowing the gap by 12 points from 35 to 23 as racing kicks off next weekend.. Perhaps another notable LLM mention should go to CRO's own #14 "Hurricane" Thayne Hallyburton who matched a seasonal high with a 4th place finish in the 2nd feature after leading for 40 laps.. Hallyburton, was able to fight off McLeod over a couple mid race restarts, with McLeod finally powering to the front on the outside of turn 2 after a lap 44 caution. The most notable stat coming from the first 50 lapper was the fact that it went caution free, and featured many tight on track battles for position on track along the way. McLeod, would take the lead early on in that first feature, after clearing #2 "Hometown" Mike Brown by lap 3, and the 2008 track champ would survive a late race charge by the 48 of Baker, with the pair separated by no more than a couple feet at the finish,. Baker also had a 3rd place result in the 2nd feature, marking the first time in 9 weeks the Stayner pilot hasnt taken at least one feature win at the Oro tri oval..

LLM  Feature 1 --- 1st- Keith McLeod #19, 2nd Dwayne Baker #48, 3rd Al "Red Rocket" Inglis #69, 4th Ron "The Dominator" Quesnelle #57, 5th Gord Shepherd #10..

LLM Feature 2 --- 1st Keith McLeod, 2nd Shepherd, 3rd Baker, 4th #14 Thayne Hallyburton, 5th Quesnelle..

Thunder Car 50 lapper --- 1st #00 Darryl St. Onge, 2nd #24 Leonard Johnston, 3rd #21 Desi Walt, 4th #12 Jim "Polish Prince" Belesky, 5th #44 Dave "The Deuce" Doucette..

Pretty clean race in this one as well saw maybe 3 or 4 cautions but none for anything really major.. Point leader #10 Rick Walt got stuck mid pack for much of this one, and never really found a line that moved until it was too late.. He finished 6th or 7th.. Second week in a row the 24 will cut into the near 60 point lead the 10 had built up.. From my accounts (and quick math) the gap was narrowed from 47 to 37 heading into next weekend between the 2 front runners in the season long standings..

Four different heat winners were Johnston, Belesky, Doucette, and #39 Travis "The Enforcer" Hallyburton.

Pure Stock 30 lapper --- 1st #09 Dean Curry, 2nd #11 Adam Misener, 3rd, #9 Charlie Smith, 4th #15 Will Davies, 5th #14 Billy Melenhorst..Second week in a row the 09 has won the feature and his 3rd feature win on the season.. Bit of a relief since he got off to a slow start and I picked him to win the points this season!!! ;D

As with the Thunders there were 4 different heat winners in the 4 bangers as well and they were Smith, Melenhorst, #28 JP Rosevear, and #06 Ryan Hardy who picked up his first career checkered.. So big congrats to the 06 team on that one!! Pretty clean race with a better flow from the beginning, when compared to the 4 banger races of the past few weeks.. One of the better and more entertaining races by these guys as a collective division as well so props there... Just got the call for work, hope to add a better rundown of Thunder and Pure Stock features at a later date.. Till then....... Signing out!!!!   FROM THE CHEAP SEATS!!!

Dave Lewis spun Dwayne Baker and then spun Shawn Murray. It's pretty clear via the video and photos that I've seen.
