I f Kyle baker can keep the the car clean and drive the way he did last year in thunders than he can run away with the rookie of the year. He showed it last Saturday, even though he got tangled up early he still managed to pull off a top ten.
I think my dad has a good shot. He started scratch in the feature and managed to get 11th and the only reason he is lower than baker in the standings is because he missed a heat race due to some technical issues. But I am probably biased... hmmm
i have been reading everyones pick for rookie of the year in the late model division at BSW. It seems everyone has the #18 and #50 as a shoe in, and the #84 and #44 as long shots after one night of racing. We have just finished the second night of racing, and it seems to me as if the #44 Big Dog was the shining star of the rookies with decent fihishes in both his heats and a hell of a job in the feature with a 9th place finish and i might add with out a scratch on his or anyone elses car. After seeing that race, I would add that was a hell of a driving job on it,s own. Don,t count the Big Dog out just yet.My money is onthe #44 Rick (Big Dog) Meyer.
There are some impressive picks for Rookie in this division.
I wouldn't put money on anyone yet.
I must agree zero...Rick was extremely impressive...especially n a night where there were SEVERAL cautions.
